OZZY OSBOURNE: 'I'm Ready To Rock'
February 20, 2004Ozzy Osbourne confirmed at the Ozzfest 2004 tour announcement today that he will be performing at this year's festival. "Is there going to be a team of paramedics waiting [on stage]?," Osbourne joked, according to Billboard.com. "I'm not dead. I'm ready to rock, man."
Ozzy's manager/wife Sharon Osbourne said of the bill, "It's harder than hard and my God, is it ugly. But we think it's what the fans want," adding that lineup recommendations were solicited through the Ozzfest web site.
JUDAS PRIEST singer Rob Halford explained why the band chose Ozzfest for their reunion, saying, "It's a really special event. You run to this if you have the opportunity. It's a wonderful way to bring us back to the United States."
Ticket prices will range between $10-$65, "which is the same as the last two years," according to Sharon. Since its inaugural run in 1996, Ozzfest has grossed $146.5 million from 236 shows that have drawn 3.8 million headbangers, primarily to outdoor amphitheaters.
